Richard L. Derrico was born in Dover, New Jersey on January 11, 1966 but found his way to Virginia through attendance at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where he obtained a B.S. degree in Finance, magna cum laude, in 1988.
He attended law school at the University of Georgia receiving a J.D. in 1991. He is licensed to practice in Virginia and Georgia in all state courts, and also in the federal court system, including before the United States Supreme Court.
He has practiced in a diverse, civil, business and criminal practice with Copenhaver, Ellett & Derrico for twenty years.
